I am not sure, I think it may be a standard, we were given a free upgrade from a mid size which should have been a RAV4 or the like to the Journey, it definitely had 7 seats because we put the back seats down when we chose the car to be able to get the luggage in.

If I request an upgrade locally is it likely to be cheaper? The reason I ask is I have an Alamo minivan (Dodge/Chrysler seven seater) booked and paid for (via Charter Travel). I phoned them today to ask if I could upgrade before we travel next month and was quoted a whopping £150 to go to a jeep Grand Cherokee equivalent. That seems an awful lot to me. we are a party of five and I think the "seating plan" on the Chrysler Voyager style minivans is a little anti social. I notice one post here said that they arrived on a Tuesday and there were plenty of Chevy's available, but we arrive on the Wednesday before Christmas so wonder if it might be a busier period and less choice. I realise I will be taking a chance by leaviung it, but just think the upgrade charge is rather a lot.

It will cost a fortune doing it locally, unless you are very very lucky.
