Ok, just to wind you all up, at 8.30am in my south facing rear garden, its 70 in the shade, 80 in the sunlight and 86 in the pool, which I haven't had heated this week, and I've just cancelled my return flight to Blighty!! stop cheering Tracy !! x []
Last nights dinner was spent at my Man Com house, thank to Pam & Russ for their generosity & tastey food.
For todays entertainment, golf is on the agenda this morning as pressure washer not arrived yet.
Brought a pool cue rack at long last, so instead of leaving the cues on the pool table & scattered round the games room, they can be stored properly without (hopefully) risk of being broken.
Went to Le Crème after another Lowes visit yesterday, its ok if you like listening to French music, but must admit, not my cup of tea.
I guess that's about it for now, speak to you later

Next person I catch dosing, you will all be in detention !! [msnsmile]

Was weeding back garden again at 7am this morning, nice when its only in the 70s, then cleaning the tiles that surround the pool with a stiff brush, pool heat was perfect, without the heating on.
Tried to phone home yesterday from villa phone as I've opted for Brighthouse's $5.00 a month for 100 minutes, needless to say, even though I've been paying the $5.00 for the last 2 months, it was never set up on the house phone, tis now !
Wondered if my $30 Walmart cell phone (pay you go) would work as its been 6 months since I was here last, and it did, so that means I do not have to keep buying a new mobile phone every time I arrive here, like I have had to do in the pass.
Ok Massey have just finished their inspection, and I am termite free, or the house is anyway!!
Off now to Pinch a penny to get a filter thingy for the pool, hopefully pick pressure washer up tonight so I can start on the pool decking tomorrow.
    Speak to you soon!

Don't you know its rude to snore!!
Tony, great reports. Just wondered why you don't go for Tel3 for your calls to UK. Much cheaper than £5 per month. We have spent less that $150 in 6 years!!!! We have all International Calls blocked on our Brighthouse phone and operator enabled calls.

Hope you enjoyed your golf. Good to mix work and pleasure!!!

Thanks Sandra, I did try Tel 3 last year but they wanted me to have a USA credit card, which I do not own as we do not have a postal address (no post delivered).
Do you know of another way I could try ?

    Cheers

Maybe you could ask your MC and then they could add it to your statement. You could also ask could you use their postal address as it makes no difference to Tel3 as it is all 'on line'. You could also ring them up and explain your situation if your MC won't help. We have only added $50 3 times in all these years. You can also get an additional small sum $5 or $10 by putting the name of someone who recommends you (me!!! haha) and we both get $5 or $10 credits!!

The alternative, get yourself a credit card purely for things like this - although difficult if no mail deliveries. What a pain!

Thanks Tony, sounds like your having a ball despite doing 'boring' stuff...that we find interesting!

we have been to Olive Garden several times, its lovely... they go for starters, main, desert, then before all that they bring out breads and that... could barely eat my dinner.. but we found it very nice.. looks kind of poshish and Steve felt out of place the first time we went in shorts and shirt.. lol but did see others in the resterant doing the same lol... just 111 days for us now!

oh ur car bit made me laugh they said the same to us.. like idiots we accepted the blooming upgrade... my foot and knee were so badly swollen we just needed to get out of there so went for something much bigger and better... derr... we tried looking out for fiat 500 and saw just 1 in our two weeks...

cant wait until the next part, thanks Tony xx

Thank you all for your encouraging replies.
Its another beautiful quiet day here, still cool in the shadows at mo, just waiting until 9am before I burst the petrol pressure washer into action.
Yesterdays golf went well, see 4 alligators in the water holes, that's why I only hit the ball 100 feet each time, incase I have to wade into one of these ponds to the rescue my ball ! ( Ok I can hit the ball 100 feet at most, wherever I am, but never lost a ball yet ! )
Was grateful for the lady in her golf buggy, driving round the course in the opposite direction of play, selling cold drinks & snacks & beers! was a bit warm yesterday !!!
Had dinner at Manny's last night, wish they would open another restaurant on the 192 ! Lovely steak, salad and even the bread rolls taste great, IMHO much better then Ale House and just as cheap.
Liesa, I will try Olive Gardens again tonight, I'll posh up, probably wear my white suit with black shirt, white tie and flip flops, they wouldn't refuse me a table then would they - would they?
    Have fun!

Well done everyone, you've made it half way through this week of drivel []

I would not bother too much about what you wear at the Olive Garden!! It is much the same as all the other chain restaurants. Shorts etc., are more than acceptable. Turn up with all your described gear....they may just arrest you.[msnembarrased] We then would not get any more trip reports[:0]

We had this problem as well Tony until we found we could pay by Paypal, we have Tel3 for a few years now and just top up with Paypal when we need to.

    Good morning all
Just got back in to the coolness of the air conditioning after applying the first coat of the pool decking paint, started at first light. As soon as the sun started to burn I put Tracy wide brimmed straw hat on with the flowery head strap, I just preyed the pool guy wasn't going to turn up early !! [msnembarrased]
Managed to get in Olive Gardens last night, (must of been my Hawiiain shirt that clinch my access), after jet washing all day in the hot sun that first cool Newcastle brown ale went down a treat. Nice place, I can see why you all go there, so will take my family when we go at Christmas.
Off to Winn Dixie now to get some washing powder, as Iv run out of clothes !
Will try TEL3 when I return.
Hope you've all had a nice day
