You know that you spend too much time on social media websites when reading OV forums you automatically look for the 'like' button!!

I'm seeing a lot of posts that, while I don't necessarily have anything constructive to add, a 'like' would be appropriate.

Any chance of adding a button, lol?

I saw that Euan, but surely that will share the thread on my FB page? I just wanted an OV 'like' button that enables me to agree with a post, without the need for another post from myself.

Ah ... I see what you mean, something internal within the forum, rather than something linking the post to FB.

I know some forums have things like that with kudos rankings and Thanks buttons for posts. Not sure if it is something that the administrators have looked into or not (but from memory I think we have talked about this before????).

The trouble with like buttons is it stops people posting. How about just hitting reply with quote and type Like LOL

Seriously, the new forum software is not something we really want to start bespoking as it makes updating it for security fixes a nightmare. As Euan mentioned above, there are some neat features built in that I don't think we use yet, so I could take a look at them and see if they might be useful.
