    A jolly holiday part 1

Well..... I don't know how good I will be at writing these reports, I have really enjoyed reading and laughing at the reports that all you other lovely addicts have posted but I will try my best ....

We paid our deposit on King Louie's Pad back in January 2010 and my count down clock as been on ever since then very slowly counting down, then all of a sudden the day has arrived and we are off...

The cases are packed, the house is clean (although for how long is anyones guess as my son is staying at home, slightly nervous about this I have to say !!) and the cats know something is going on and are not talking to us ! maybe they realised that the staff that are there to do their bidding won't be as good....

Everyone is up at the crack of dawn and we are ready to go. but not before I have had 2 changes of clothes (couldn't make up my mind), Gary waiting until the last minute to ask me if I had packed his swimming goggles (the man doesn't pack anything ! ) and numerous "I just need a quick wee" 's before we headed off.

I had managed to check in onine the day before so after a good run to Gatwick (I hour 10 mins) and a nice man to take away the car we went straight to bag drop, nearly managed to get extra leg room seats but were beaten to it by seconds [msnsad] flew (geddit !!) through Immigration and straight up for a bacon roll for breakfast, 20 minutes later we made our way to the gate and boarded the plane into cattle class (being nearly 6 ft I really wished we had extra leg room but hey ho)... the plane ride was uneventful, it made a difference that Bryony is nearly 13 and amused herself this time. We were in rows 26/27 so it mean't that after Upper and Premium we were the first off the plane so grabbing our belongings we hotfooted it to Immigration and had a 15 minute wait to get through, by the time we reached the front 3 other planes had arrived and the queue was horrendous, got the bags and after the hard sell for an upgrade, which we didn't take, went out to the garage to choose out mid size SUV, the very nice man in the garage gave us a FREE upgrade to a standard SUV (in your face po faced Alamo rep man at the desk[msnsmile2]). Landed and in the car within an hour, the best we have ever done. Managed to get out of the car park before making the same mistake we make every time and ended up on the way to Boggy Creek (every time !!), made a u=turn and after a quick stop at Publix we got to the wonderful King Louie's Pad (thank you so much Caroline for allowing us to use your beautiful home) quickly unpacked and went and sat in the hot tub with a bottle of Bud (thanks Caroline !) and watched the sunset... perfect...

Lasted until about 9 pm before we all had to go to bed and it is now just after 5.30 am and we are all up and wide awake. Jennfier had developed a really sore throat over night but I am hoping that it is just because of al the dry air on the flight etc (fingers crossed anyway)

And so our holiday begins ........
