    Flights September 2005

I've booked a villa through this site for September next year. I would like to book flights asap, but would like some advice. I contacted the company we booked with before who says they can book me seats now with Virgin for £410 (not sure if it includes tax)! I called Virgin to check this, and they said that although they couldn't sell seats until 11 months in advance some operators did have allocations now. I thought £410 was a little expensive as I only paid £350 with Virgin at Christmas. Do you think that seats might be cheaper if I got in as soon as they were released in October? Any help/advise would be much appreciated. Also I have a price of £450 for a 8-seater minibus (2 drivers), do you know if I can do better.

    Hi Susan,
collecting Virgin air miles can provide some good deals with the "miles + money "scheme. 2000 points plus £180-00 out of season; THIS september would be 2000 points plus £350-00. I collect with their credit card. 1 point per pound ( or 2 points if pay £80-00 annual charge.)Normally an introduction offer of 3000 to 4000 points when card first used. Premium economy can be £5000 + 7500points out of season.
PM me if you want more details.

Most of the internet sites which sell flights don't do so until 11 months before. September is not a busy month for flights and, whilst I'm not saying Virgin won't be that cost in 2005, it is possible you may find them cheaper later. It sounds an awful lot of money for flights in a non-peak period.

We booked Virgin flights for 1st September this year a couple of days ago. We're flying into New York and out of Orlando and it was £359 + tax, Orlando direct was £349 + tax. Later in Sept is usually cheaper but we ca't go then. I've never found any offers on the miles plus points that have come out cheaper yet than flight only but I always look. We're paying £270+ tax on Easter Monday so I still think the Sept flights are a little dear but because of inflexibility on dates we booked it anyway. It was actually dearer to book an indirect on Cont/Delta etc and have the free stopover than it was to pay £79 for an internal flight and this way we'll get our Freeway miles.
