Booking Flights Question

The prices for my flights to Orlando in July have been released today (Saturday 8/9/12) but are a bit more than I would have liked to pay.
Members on here sort of advised to book as soon as possible. Are these Virgin prices released today likely to change at all if I was to wait and keep checking over the next week or so or will they stay at this price?
Villa is booked so I need these dates exactly. I may be able to alter the dates to the villa to get the cheaper flight prices by £400+.

Any urgent advice welcome

IMHO, I think it extremely unlikely that Virgin will change their flight prices in the near future....
They MIGHT drop when they next have a "sale" - but have personally seen many "sale" prices be higher than previously offered !!!!
You haven't mentioned where you're flying from....
If from Manchester, where Virgin have a virtual monopoly, then likely much more stable pricing than from London where a lot more competition between carriers...

Yes hoping to fly from any London airport, the prices for the dates we initially needed were 3982!! Moving to a day before we can save £400!! so I have contacted the villa lowner and hopefully I can book it a day earlier and save some money...I'll keep you posted, Thanks

It's really your call I think. We all have different priorities with our travel and some will pay higher fares to get exactly what they want while others will put price before other considerations like carrier or whether the flights are direct. There's no wrong or right in it.

I have no idea where Virgin's prices will be in 2 weeks, 2 months or 2 years time so I think I can only repeat some of the advice you received from your original question a few days ago. i.e. If you're happy to pay a particular fare to get the flights you want, then go ahead. On the other hand, if you're really looking to save money, opportunities will probably come up between now and the date of travel, especially if you're flexible on who you fly with and are prepared to make a connection on the way to Orlando.

Booked the flights a day earlier and saved £400. The villa owner was able to move us forward one day so we could get these flights. She also said we could now have a late departure time from the villa as there is now nobody arriving until the Sunday which also will be very helpful as the return flight is at 6.15pm.
Ended up paying £3600 for 4 adults in peak season on direct flights with Virgin. Had budgeted for £3500ish anyway so all sorted.

That has worked out well. Don't forget that if you want to get a little bit more of Disney before you go you could use Virgins Downtown Disney Check In. It costs $10 per person and they take your cases off you and issue boarding passes. It closes at 1pm.

That sounds good and at least you know what you have to budget. I must admit our strategy is to book flights as soon as a) we have decided when we want to travel and b) flight price is around what we generally expect to pay.
When flights are released it is generally the cheaper seats in each flight class that sell outu first and they tend to get dearer from then on. Of course if flights aren't as full as they would like then there may be offers to tempt more on but is a gamble we prefer not to take as we can then book time off work etc.

Does anyone know when Virgin will be releasing the function to pre-book your seats yet?

When I log into the booking on the Virgin website it still says seatmap unavailable? There is a link saying that some seats are available but it just seems to take me to more info regarding pre-booking seats up to 90 days in advance of your flight??

Last time we looked they said things might not be back to 'normal' until November but have not checked for the last couple of weeks as we have now booked with BA
