Philadelphia airport

Just got booked with US AIRWAYS, glasgow, phili, orlando, middle of Aug. Going home we only have 55mins in phili, does anyone know the airport, will we make it ! US AIRWAYS just dropped the price from £888 to £660, had too grab it, too good to miss !! Thanks for any advice

It is a big airport and iirc US Airways uses all of the terminals - so it could involve going through security again.

However they know from the manifest that you are on the plane from Orlando(and often a few Brits) so they will normally hold the UK flight if possible even if you are late. They don't want a transatlantic flight with empty seats and having to put you on other flights.

Hi Donny

We have flown US Airways, Philadelphia to Manchester over a dozen times now. Always been to Terminals A (East) or B. Never had to go back through security yet.

The only other time was to Terminal F but I was on my way back from Columbus Ohio. No security from there either.

As Robert mentions, we have been sat on the Manchester plane before, waiting for connecting flight passengers to arrive. The 15/20min delay was made up in the air, & we still landed at Manchester early.

If you do connect through A(East) or B you only have a 10min walk to Terminal A (West) for your flight home. Don't forget your hold baggage will have been checked through to Glasgow, so at least you won't have that to recheck.
