    Virgin Price Match - Worried

    Hi everyone, i posted yesterday excited that we had booked our honeymoon via virgin yesterday. We managed to get the price down by over £600 as they price matched Thomas Cook. Anyway the rep took the booking and told me that the price match discount wouldnt be on the booking confirmation, and that we would recieve a second email from the price match team with the discount applied.

    We recieved the 1st email (with the extra £600 on) yesterday and were told we would recieve the price match discounted confirmation within 48 hours. I woke up this morning and checked my email and have got a second email, still without the price match discount off the price.

    Im getting a little worried. Has anyone used price match with Virgin before and experienced anything similar?

    Hi
    Never used virgins price match. If they have not sent the gmail within the time frame quoted just call them and quote the agents name. Has it been 48 hours yet?

    Maybe the Price Match team don't work at the weekend?

    Im going to wait until wednesday and see if they mail again, as mentioned it may just be the delay in processing over the weekend

    We didn't get anything from Virgin that following week - phoned twice, spoke to 2 different reps and finally received the booking confirmation with the price match applied last Friday in the post - we never did get the email...

    Just glad the confirmation came, we were getting a little bit concerned but thankfully reassured now

    We recently went and paid off some more of our holiday and the Virgin Rep said that they were slowly phasing out the emails and letters. Even though every time we pay off each month we get a new itinerary sent through with the amount left to pay.
