Does any one know of how to get a sponsor for a truck job.
I would like to drive around the states while working.
I have hgv and also bus licence in the uk, how easy are they to get in the us.im 43 married would also like to take wife with me.

Sorry but it cannot be done. To stay here legally on the basis of a profession, you would have to be doing something very specialist. There are plenty of truckers over heer so they can pull from the resident population for staff. Gone are the days when you could get sponsered for work.

There are a lot of truckers out of work here now......I can't see you getting a sponsor.....my daughter can't get one here in the USA even with a greencard......she's having to pay for the licence herself.....

Iwas told (on the phone ) by aimmigration consultant that truck and bus drivers are very sort after in the us ?
I think you sometimes get told what you want to hear, he did want a 1,000 $ to look in to this for me
