Shorter queues = available agents = chance for them to push "upgrades" & make comission................
When the kiosk worked for me there was absolutely no queue!

We've been assured by our suppliers that Alamo have the bug in their system that was stopping some people using the kiosks fixed and it's been like that for perhaps a month now. I know we've not heard of a single problem since then apart from the few above, so we're happy it's working as it should be.

If anyone has had issues since then (i.e. in the last week or two), could you email us at info@uscarhire.co.uk with your order number and any Alamo reference numbers from your kiosk sign up and we can then pass them on to Alamo to investigate.

We'll only be happy when it's working for 100% of our customers and not the 99% it currently works for.

We're flying into Tampa in August. Does anyone know if there are kiosks there and what do we have to do to register??? Would be really helpful if we didn't have to queue to collect our car as our flight dosn't arrive til quite late so the kids will be tired out and wanting their beds.

Yes, there are kiosks at Tampa but we have never used them.

You register by signing up for Alamo Save Time, the details will be on the voucher that you receive fairly soon once you have paid the balance of the car rental.

We went 24th May 2012. Walked straight to "Alamo Parking Lot". Picked car, drove to exit, handed paperwork to security and then drove out.[clap][clap]

Couldn't have been any easier. Did notice queues at Alamo desk, as I walked past with a big smile[msnsmile2]

Hope Iv'e not jinxed our next trip[msnwink]

    Hi drino

Yes we did. We got all the info emailed from US Carhire, registered the ticket number with Alamo, Printed the confirmation off.
Then on arrival at MCO, collected our bags, walked across the drop off area to the parking lot, told Alamo rep what car group we required, (although we had no need to do this as we new which line to go to) selected our car, loaded up & on our way.
15 minutes max from leaving the baggage carousel. At security the agent checked our paperwork/licences etc and it was "Have a nice evening sir"[msnsmile2]
