The system will recognise that you are using a transponder and therefore not pass on a duplicate bill to Alamo/you.

Would you know if I will also get charged by them as the number plate will be 'read'. ?

    Thanks all
I took the transponder back to Publix and althiough I had openedthe plastic to get to the transponder they refunded it.
For $6 a trip period whilst over, it does not seem worth the bother of getting a transponder.
Incidentally, and by coincidence, we did not ues the tioll roads after the first day!

Can this be used on ALL toll roads throughout Florida??

The bit that worries me is -

"If you or any driver operate the rental vehicle in areas not served by TollPass and generate any unpaid toll(s) then you will be charged for all unpaid tolls and an administrative charge of up to $25.00 per rental."

Are all Toll roads served by TollPass?? We will mostly be using the Turnpike and 429.

    Thanks in advance.

I took the transponder back to Publix and they refunded the money with no problem, even though I had opened the package.

On reflection it seemed worth paying the $ 2 per day. In fact we did not use any toll roads in our 3 week stay.

Useful to know how the system works though. On our next trip we can go though the Sun Pass lane and get to the villa quicker, though I take up the suggestion that it may be best to go a bit slower the first time!

Anyone know if there will be a flash or an alarm when it initally logs there is no transponder?

This is not an answer to your question but if your not heading North the best way out of MCO is the SOUTH EXIT.

This takes you to 417 which is a much easier route to Disney and most of the villa areas.

As far as I know all the road around the Orlando area are covered by the Alamo toll system.

You just drive through the lane that does not require you to stop and is normally marked as 'EXPRESS'
