Anyone booked up for this time next year yet- just wondered if you got any good flight prices or am I still too early?

July flights will be out about now, but you'll be shocked at the prices I'm afraid.

Viento, if you've found flights for May at £530 I think that may be the best you'll find. I spent literally days and days churning through airlines' sites, comparison sites, everything I could think of, to find flights for May 26th. Couldn't find anything under £665. It is my experience that the longer you leave it the more they cost unless you are flexible on dates and can take advantage of the "sales" that do occur later in the year.

I'd also say £530 is as good a price as you'll get.

The cheapest we found was £650 so I would grab £530 if I were you, don't think you will get any better than that ....

Just booked some 'FREE' flights with Virgin for my son and family who are coming out in Nov. The tax and other fees came to nearly £1200 for four. So if you allow £300 before the airline adds the actual charge for the flight you can see why cheap flights are not going to return.

Unless I'm reading things wrongly, APD per seat is £65 for non-premium seats, (Capitals = London > Washington = 3675miles = APD band B).
Airport take-off taxes & fees (extremely difficult to establish) might add £30 or so....
    Leaves over £200 in Mr. B's pocket & I'm darned certain "fuel surcharge" in't £200 !!!!!!!
