    Areas to stay in

We are a 3 generation family visiting in June 2013 and are looking for a quiet (preferably Gated community) in which to rent for easy access to usual theme parks. We stayed in Davenport area in 2011 and whilst the villa was fine we felt the area was somewhat run-down. Any suggestions of areas or communities would be gratefully received. Thank you.

Have a look at the map on here showing villa areas, choose one area and then send out an enquiry ....you can then ask each Owner about the locations, the Owners are a great source of information

I think you can use the advanced search and click through your want list such as gated community

Make sure the photo's are current. I'm sure you'll find a great place.

I would say don't limit yourself to gated communities other area such as Countryside Manor are very quite as they are just small communities and could be just what you are after

Lake Berkley is just off 192 behind Medeval Times and Wal Mart.

It is a gated community with security at the gate. You are issued with a pass when you arrive and you have to display it every time to get back in. the guards were friendly and always acknowledged you each time you passed.

The area is excellent, clean and tidy. Ground maintenance staff decend on the are twice a week to keep it nice. There is a lake to walk around with a beach and a pier to fish from.

The location is excellent and the travel times to the attractions is great.

Downtown Disney is about 15 min and Universal about 25 min.

I would strongly recommend it and we would love to go back again.

There is a video on you tube that shows you around the area. See ....

Check out Westhaven - there's The Shire, The Manor and The Abbey. All gated, recent developments and nicely maintained. Good position for I4 etc.

Gated communities are great for peace of mind. But there are also many other communities that are worth considering.

I wont just single out our community as i dont thinmk thats fair but to name a few Windsor Hills, Windsor Palms, Formossa gardens and as mentioned previoulsy Emerald Isle, al these are within 2-3 miles of Disney main gate and the many places to eat along the 192.

    To MTP,

Curious as why this link has been removed.
There are many other posts with links included and remain insitu.
Many of my previous post have links and have not been edited out.
I thought that this was OK.
    Regards,

    David
