    Where to stay?

    Hi

weve only been to Florida once and that was 2 years ago, we stayed in the Orange Tree community. We didnt mind driving to the parks during the day, but in the evening there was nowhere within walking distance to go for dinner or a drink, so my husband had to drive[sick].
Can anyone tell me the communities that are within walking distance to a few resturants please?

    Thanks Sam

There are some communities which have shops and restaurants within walking distance but an easy way to find which suits you best is to put out enquiries via http://www.orlandovillas.com/ and http://www.orlandovillarentals.com/ and in the comments section ask owners exactly what there is within walking distance of the community plus you can also ask for any other requirements you might want.

I know what you mean Sam and the best thing is to be specific with that requirement on the enquiry form, just as Jill says. There are a number of subdivisions within practical walking distance of restaurants. Very few will be very close but if you are prepared to stroll for 15 mins each way then there will be quite a few in a variety of locations.

We are not within walking distance of restaurants but we always buy lovely produce from Publix for the BBQ, we like this better than going to restaurants every night as the kids can swim, watch films and we can sit by the pool listening to the wildlife and you can relax after eating those big meals.

Hope you find a home that ticks all the boxes
