    Trusted Traveller Programme

Does anyone know if this is ever likely to be extended to UK citizens, and if it is only really for airline crew?

For some reason Dutch citizens can apply. The link is here:

    http://www.globalentry.gov/eligibility.html

Way back in the 1990s I was a member of a similar previous programme, called INSPASS. I had a green card at the time, but I think it was also open to frequent visitors from the UK. So if the Dutch are eligible it is not impossible that they would extend it to UK citizens who are not green card holders.

The old programme was free, but the current programme costs you $100 (not refundable if your application is denied).

Wouldn't bank on it. French people can just apply for a DL and get it, Brits have to take the test.
