    Dollar at MCO

    Hello

I am trying to book a 7 seater van at MCO for June 2012. Are Dollar no longer available as I can only seem to access Alamo. I had this same problem in December and the previous July. Although the car was fine the pick up process was not as I could not seem to use the terminals on either occassion. I would much rather use my Dollar Express as I have had no problems in the past.

I've booked with Dollar for pick up in 11 days time - they are definately still there. Because we also have our Dollar Express card - we go straight accross to their 'cabin' where the rental cars are- and don't wait in the line in the terminal!

At present we do not have rates for Dollar from April onwards. Although we had a few initial problems with "Alamo Express" these issue should now all be resolved. We are finding the Alamo and National packages now to be far better than Dollar given they have Express, soon to have the option to return the car with a full tank on Silver option, second driver free of charge and generally much better customer service.

Dollar have told me they no longer issue the cards just to quote the number. I emailed them and complained after getting told our number wasn't recognised last time we travelled, but it was picked up this time, and no hassle with upgrade sales either!

I registered again with Alamo for the trip this December and when I tried to use the terminal they referred me again to an assistant. They said it was a) because I had a non US drivig licence and the b) because I had not booked direct.

We were there Christmas/New Year just gone. Had 7 seater from Alamo booked from this site (as we now do all the time, fantastic service)

Registered on line the booking on Alamo site. Picked up bags, walked straight across to the Alamo cars, walked to the 7 seater line, picked a car (190 miles on clock) drove out.

At barrier handed my paperwork over for checking, all done "have a nice visit" and we were on our way.

No queues no hassle no problem. What could be simpler???

Looking forward to next trip in May [msncool][msncool] Car all booked.

I'm not sure what happened when you went, but it's the usual story with forums here. Those who had a problem might mention it here, but the massive majority of our customers who have had no problems at all are not likely to post so it might look to people like there are problems using the Alamo Kiosks all the time, when in fact that could not be further from the truth.

Alamo kiosks should be absolutely fine for *our* customers to use and you should have absolutely no problems using them.

One point I failed to mention, I didn't use the Alamo Kiosk. I filled in all the information on-line before I left home. Nothing could be any easier.

Just had paperwork/licence's/credit card etc ready to show at exit barrier. Two minutes paperwork checked and we were on our way.

Also don't forget that to use the kiosks, you MUST register in advance for Alamo Save Time. Initially there were a few teething problems as staff get used to our customers being using this service, but if ever you have a probem and a staff member says this is not for UK customers, then please take the staff member's name and ask to speak to a manager.
