Fun in the Sun - the Big Chill

Monday 2nd -Today we decided to hit Disney. We do not often go to the parks but son'sgirlfriend has never been to the States before so thought it just had to bedone. Now those of you who know me will know that we are not very good atgetting going in the morning when on holiday so we did not actually leave thehouse untill almost 11am so by the time we got to MK it was pretty busy - butwe still managed to get a couple of fast passes and ride Thunder Mountain,Buzz, Splash Mountain and a few others. By 5.30 we had seen enough so headedover to Epcot where it was time for Mission Space, Test Track and Nemo. ThoughtKatie was going to burst when she saw a dolphin in The Seas Pavillion - thinkwe may have to vist Seaworld some time this trip! We finished the evening withthe Illuminations fireworks which were fantastic as usual.

By now the weather was getting cold so we headed home for cheese on toast andbeer. Mum does not like rides and stuff so she had stayed home and chilled bythe pool. She also reports that pool is lovely and warm as she had been in fora dip

Tuesday 3rd - if you were listening to Channel 13 this morning you would thinkthat we have all been transported to the Arcticovernight. Yes it is chilly but not that bad So as the big chill had set in The Teensasked to visit Disneyquest for the day. So Mum and I dropped them off therealong with Lee where they spent a great day geeking out on all those arcadegames. Mum and I became ladies who lunch and went to Millenia Mall for somewindow shopping and the main event - Cheesecake! Mum opted for the 30thAniversary Chocolate while I had the White Chocolate and Caramel.... ummmmmmm!Dispite our best efforts we were defeated again and could not finish ourcheesecake so had to reluctantly leave some on the plate! Then it was back toDowntown Disney to collect the rest of the gang and then home for a night inwith a video.

Wednesday 4th - Today was the day the boys have been looking forward to-especially Sam! As part of their Christmas presents I had booked the FloridaFirearms Adventure for them so over to Sam for the report.

"Headed outwith Dad, Grandad and Connor. When we first got there we pulled up to a simplelooking firing range ran by two X-Military firearms specialists. we were givena quick safety brief before being introduced to the guns we were going to shootin the morning. first up was the M-16 style Carbine equipped with a Holographicscope. This made me rather excited due to the fact it's my favorite gun on'Call Of Duty' on my Xbox 360. After being told about the gun and its historywe moved onto the AvtomatKalashnikova-1947AKA the AK-47,this was also one of my favorite guns andit had a lot of recoil and was very loud.

When we actuallycame round to shooting these guns we split into teams. I was pared withgranddad and Connor with dad and I was first up to shoot the M-16 carbine andAK. it was a shock when i first let off a round and it surprised how anyonecould put up with the noise of the gun in battle. We all took turns shootingthe guns then took some pose pics at the end of the morning.

We then ate somelunch and moved to the next range to shoot the shotgun and the Glock pistol.when it came round to it the shotgun was so loud and had a lot of recoil andbackfire. at the end of the shotgun shooting Connor got to fire it 1 handed, but I didn't too much because I got to shoot the pistol upside down.

at the end ofthe day Connor was given the top gun award and i was most improved shooter. Andthe guys there said that if we ever came again to let them know its us and theywould get some special weapons for us to shoot! Can't wait to go again

Why did you not ask for a box to bring the left over cheesecake home for later?
