Lucky things! Sounds fantastic, have a great time, always thought I would love to be in NY for new years eve! Just curious! How do you find a really good price for business class at anytime of the year! Lol!!!

I'd recommend saving the miles with BA (now called 'Avios'). From now until 31 March you can fly to New York on a World Traveller Plus ticket for around £700 and upgrade to Business with miles. The price is a bit higher to other destinations and rises as the summer gets nearer but it's still a bargain. I'm going in January, February and March!

We went to New York for New Year 1999/2000 and it was an amazing experience - our kids still talk about it even now as a "once in a lifetime experience"
You will have a great time - and remember the ball is made by Waterford Crystal so it is a unique Irish connection
