    Looking for ideas for Thanksgiving

    Hi there
(My countdown says 28 days 9 hrs 53mins and 15 seconds - woohoo!)
    [msncool]
Just wondering if anyone has any top tips on where to eat or things to do on Thanksgiving? I have a friend coming with us who wants to celebrate and I was wondering if anyone knows of any parades or similar?
In terms of eating we don't mind if it's Thanksgiving dinner or not - do places generally stay open?
    thanks
    MJ

We have in the past pre ordered a thanksgiving dinner from Publix, you can choose Turkey with all the trimmings, mash, veg, gravy and even pumpkin pie, just pick it up on the day and it just needs warming up, very good value.

I've had Thanksgiving Dinner at Perkins a couple of times. Not fine dining but they're always open, no need to book, tasty food in good portions and amazing value for money. From memory, the last time I did it was about 3 years ago and I think the whole dinner cost less than $10 each.

The Publix idea also sounds a good one.
