You will find Walmart have every type of cereal under the sun
They are mainly intersted in meats and fruit / vegetables these are a definate no no and the Meat Bisto is on the black list
If you drink Tea I would take some

The only things I do miss is Bread and a good Cheese Board

I bring more food goodies back to the UK than I take to the USA.

My UK larder has lots of things that I can not buy in the UK

We have a shoping list always on the go of things to bring back to the UK

Be interested to read what you bring back? We're preparing our list already for next February. I also bring some strange things back as I can't find the equivallant in UK or if I can it is really expensive to buy.

I always used to bring back tins of the "Altoids" mints, but you can now buy them from here in the UK.

I always try and bring back Orzo (looks like rice but it's actually pasta) you can only buy it at specialist Italian Deli's over here, although I have had trouble finding it in the US on the last couple of occasions I have been over[msnsad]

Thank you all for your advise.

In the past always found the American cereals too sweet. One of my kids is hyperactive already so dont need any more fuel for him.

My daughters fiance was telling me about "minute rice" which sounds good. It's not like the Express ready ccoked rice but is normal rice that you place in boiling water for a minute and it's cooked. . Sounds just like my sort of cooking so going to bring some of that back.
We also bring back cake mixes, waffle and pancake mixes.

Always have to take salad cream with us but did find hubby a suitable one in Publix last year that tastes like Heinz (well closer than mayo) so might not need that.
We often take Walkers crisps and always tea bags.

Heinz beans with low suger and no sweetenr as we can only find regular ones at inflated prices. dont take the ones with sausages in as they are banned.

I always take T Bags and Nescafe - the nescafe you buy there has an added ingredient? and it tastes different. Although when I run out I use filter coffee - try some of Whole Foods' coffee - a bit more expensive -but good! I have been known , in the past, to take my own long life brown bread although I don't now. The strange things I bring back include soap and bin liners

We bring back watermelon flavour chewing gum, and lots of different seasonings - especially the zesty lemon seasoning and creole. Also maple syrup (wrapped up very well for the return journey!) and beef jerky - and a big tub of grated parmesan cheese ...... very random things

I always take the tea bags but otherwise enjoy the differences in our two countries - part of the fun. My neighbour on Highgate used to always take Oxo cubes for her son who lives in Miami - but despite always declaring it and being allowed to take them in many times she came up with the customs man who said it was a beef product and disposed of it this time. About £20 worth! So often it depends on who you are talking to whether it is allowed. Conversely my sister in law who lives in Canada always stocks up in the UK on gravy granules, british cheese especially Stilton and Walkers Cheese and Onion crisps. Funny what you miss when you can't buy it.
