Car hire credit card swipe and online check in

If I use the online check in with Alamo and and put my card number in i take it the deposit won’t be taken out until we pick the car up. We don’t go till March next year but would like to use the online check in now as it will be one less worry nearer the time

Thats correct, this is just held on file, and the deposit authorized when you collect the car next year. I see you are from my old home town (I lived in Saughall before moving to Florida).

I can now do the online check in and not pay interest on the deposit :-). Saughall nice place did you drink in the greyhound pub? My mum and dad had the cross foxes in town for many years. How long have you been in Florida?

We lived just along Church Road from the Greyhound, and used to go there often for lunch and the odd drink. We've been in Florida over 4 years now, but still visit Chester regularly as my family are there, and we still have a house there (in Mollington).
