We flew with TC this year and they no longer offer the premium service only premium seats on the return leg. Something to do with air tax rules.

It is because the government charge such a hefty tax on departures from the the here whereas several other countries have either abolished APD or greatly reduced it.

We pre-booked seats on last trip with TC but only because we wanted the 2 seater window seats at the back of the plane...horrible experience year before where we booked window seats and had me at the wondow, my partner next to me and a random man next to him who fell asleep and neither of us wanted to wake him up for loo trips or to stretch our legs.

Drinks with meals and tea/coffee free but any non scheduled beverages are charged - hope this helps
