Monday - after the late night baseball game we had a bit of a lie in. We decided to have a bit of a slow start and had breakfast by the pool before packing the bags and heading over to Aquatica. This is our favorite water park and we bought ourselves an Annual Pass as we expect to visit a couple of times this trip as well as when we are back at Christmas. As we approached I could see the cars where parking way back by the entrance. " Oh this is gonna be busy" - but actually it was OK. We managed to get a sun lounger no problem and as soon as I had got him sun creamed up Samo was away. He had soon hooked up with a bunch of lads his own age and apart from needing food and drink we did not really see much of him for the rest of the day! Hubby and I had a very relaxing day sploshing around in the lazy river and wave pool as well as a few of the slides. We stayed untill the park closed and then headed to Golden Corral for some dinner ( Samo's choice ) and then went home as the previous night was catching up with us.
Tuesday - another slow start with coffee by the pool and then we went for a walk round Downtown Disney. This was a chance to go to Guest services and check exactly how many days we had left on some old Dsiney tickets we had. More than we thought as it turned out and Samo's kids tickets where upgraded free of charge and we got some extra Fun Days as a bonus! Result!
Found a great store called Ridemakerz ( think Build a Bear for boys ). You choose a car chassis and same wheels, upgrades etc and before you know it you have the parts and are building your custom remote control car. Sam loved it and we now have a very cool sports car to take home with him. He then discovered his inner child in the Lego Store before we headed to Rainforest Cafe for some nachos and beer and then home for a swim before getting ready to meet up with some old friends for dinner at Longhorn. Great evening and catch up - thanks guys []
Wednesday - we decided to use one of those bonus days we were given yesterday and went to Typhoon Lagoon. Now that was one heaving waterpark. We did manage a stroke of luck and get some loungers as a family had decided that they where leaving at 11.30am as it was too busy. result for us [clap] So we spent another chilled out day catching some rays and bobbing around in the waves. All too soon it was closing time. As we had an hour and our kit in the trunck of the car we went back over to the Softball Complex for some more batting practice before we finsihed the day in BJ's Brewhouse for a Jacket Potatoe and some beer [beer] Alsowatched the baseball on the big screen before heading home to bed. Woken at 5.52am by the sonic boom as the Space Shuttle headed home too.
That's it for now - now off for a dip [msnsmile2]
