Depends on the age of the people going - Magic Kingdon is timeless and love the new light show on the castle between the light parade and the fireworks so that may please most people. Might be worth putting that off for a year 18 months though as they are doing lots of new building at the MK - Beauty and the Beast Castke is now visible and lots of shows planned - the biggest buiding work since it was origianlly built. My husbands favourite is Hollywood stuios for all the shows especially Lights Camera Action - the stunt show - everyone loves the noise and the effects and teenagers willenjoy it too (hard to please group). The teens will also love American Idol.
Just some thoughts
You could also get a hopper ticket and squeeze in two parks. You obviously won't see quite as much but you will get to see two different parks. You could perhaps do Animal Kingdom in the morning and then head over to Magic Kingdom for the afternoon and fireworks, or perhaps Epcot in the afternoon instead if some of your group are older. MK and Epcot are both open until later in the evening so would give you more time. It might be a little exhaustimg though, especially if you have little ones in your group.
DHS for me too.

If it is Disney we would go with Hollywood Studios, if not I would go with IOA.
