We have my daughter's friend is joining us for 8 days in August before going up to New York . He's never been been to the States before so we are planning to do a 1 day base hopper available from this site for £83 (adult) or £79 (child). As he's never been to a Disney park we thought he should see Magic Kingdom and then we're hopping over to Disney Studios where we've booked a meal and he can do more rides/shows there.

Hope he'll enjoy this taster and want to bring all his family back to Orlando

Would opt for Magic Kingdom as the 'home of the mouse' and if only adults then Epcot.

Would have to suggest Magic Kingdom or Epcot, depending on the ages of those involved (younger, MK & older Epcot).
HOWEVER... As Epcot Fireworks on every evening & MK only intermittently, check which shows are on & choose accordingly !!!

Depending on when you are going (party ages) and how late the parks are open, it would be worth going for a hopper and doing more than one park. We returned recently and MK was open till around 12 most nights we were there so we did Hollywood Studios until 4pm and then went over to MK and stayed there till 9.30. Would have stayed later if we had just been adults but had 3 young children with us sand with the 95 degree heat that was long enough fro them.

You should be able to Google it online and find the park opening hours for when you travel and also when they have extra hours for their hotel guests etc.

Magic Kingdom or Animal Kingdom would be our choice.

If you have young ones then Magic Kingdom is a must, however we had not been to Disney for some time as our kids are grown up now and we all went to Hollywood Studios last November and enjoyed it.

If you have children MK is a must. If it's young adults with you Epcot.

Magic Kingdom or Hollywood Studios every time. I must admit though i too prefer Islands of Adventure!
