    We always visit JETTY park when we want a beachday without driving too far. It is only a short drive from KSC, and very easy access back to Orlando on 528. It is a public beach with a small cafe and toilets.
    You can also fish from the pier, and the beach is nice, with view to KSC on the other side of the bay.

    Depends where in the Orlando Area you are staying. However from the airport take the 528 East and it will take you to the coast in the Canaveral/Cocoa Beach area - about 45 miles on a freeway - say 45 mins.
