i found the correct buttons but it just wouldnt clear them.. then i looked again and found they were in my 'sent' folder so clicked like i did the other and magic happened!!
its all just a matter of finding the different bits and bobs...

I know what you mean - just a matter of getting used to things.

There is an option on there to bulk delete them so it should have been quick and painless. Tell me you didn't do each one in turn? [msncry]

I did about the first 50 John, then realised that you could bulk delete them ..... was easy after that !!!
