    eating out

    Hi Everyone

Not been to Orlando for 6 years so I guess a lot has changed. Are there any new places that are good to eat out for breakfast and dinner. Are buffet breakfast the same price?

Also have been looking for a map to download and cannot find one is there an up to date one on this site please.

    Thanks

Since we were here last there's quite a few new restaurants opened on the US27 end of the 192. We've tried the new Orlando Ale house which was good, it's very busy so must be popular, there's a new Applebees next door and also the Olive Garden and Longhorn are opposite. They've all been good and value for money. One of our favourite's though is Chilli's, specially the 2 for 1 Budweiser and Margueritas![msntongue]

We are staying again at Eagle Point South. I am sure there are a few changes. We have never been to Applebees, but we do like Chillis too.
I have been looking at restaurants web sites and now I am getting very hungry!

One thing though, we are getting our hire car through Alamo and wondered do you have to pay extra for sat nav or does it come with the car. Last time you had to hire the sat navs.

I would expect Sat Nav to be extra, you would need to check your contract, or contact Alamo direct. If you have booked through uscarhire.co.uk (the link above) you can hire a Sat Nav for a reasonable fee - you can hire one even if you haven't booked through this site.

If you book it via the link at the top of the page it will be sent to your home with your villa address already put in, plus loads of attractions, restaurants etc. This makes it really easy to use. My guests have found it a brilliant system.

Hope you have a great time!

The buffet breakfasts in the likes of Ponderosa and Sizzler are still $3.99

regarding GPS, I always take my tom tom from home as its already got North America maps on it, saves hiring one from the rental companies.

Have to say that Applebees was one of the best meals we had while we were there. We ate at a different resturant everynight and had a few meals in the villa.
