    Dolphins

Where, apart from Dicovery Cove can you swim with dolphins and can anyone reccommend a boat trip to see them in the wild?

You can swim with them in at least 4 different places at the Forida Keys, 2 at Key Largo (Dolphins Plus and The Dolphin Research Centre) and the Theatre of the Sea which is on one of the large keys in the middle (I can't remember which one!). Hawks Key also seems to be doing it now but I have never been there so can't comment on this one. They are all different types of program, but for a good family day out, and for photos of the swim, Discovery Cove is in my opinion the best.

    Hi,
we have house in the Englewood area. Whenever we are down there we take the jetskis and boats out. There are always dolphins close in (you always watch them from the beach). Quite often I have slipped of the jetski and swam with the dolphins. One tiome a huge school o them had rounded up yellow. we wereright in the middle of it. There were around 50 dolphins, it bwas incredible. Quite oftn see Manatees too.

2 years ago we rented an apartment on Sanibel Island. From our balcony we could watch the dolphins swim close to the edge of the water almost every day.

Englewood is about 40 miles south of Sarasota, north of Fort Myers and not far from Port Charlotte and is on Cape Haze.
