old town cruise 21st anniversary - June 4th

Popped down to old town today, and they announced that next Saturday June 4th is the 21st Anniversary for the Saturday night cruise. They are hoping for over 500 cars to make parade. Wether they do or not is too be seen, but there will certainly be more than normal.

Parking will be a problem. We arrived at 7.30 for the 8.30 start this evening and the normal parking field was already full. But there is a disused harley shop + bennigens restuarant on the 192 opposite that are empty, so their spots could be used, and also a publix car-park behind the logans roadhouse.

But, as this will be a busy weekend, check for any no-parking / tow zones before parking in any of these areas.

!!! BIG WARNING !!!

Lots of the shops/parking areas around have their own parking notices. A guest of mine visited the area on a non cruise night just for a look around. Came back after 30 minutes to find the car gone.

They called the police who said it would have been towed. They had to get a taxi to St. Cloud to get it back and pay nearly $250. If your use to free car parking in shopping areas check for time limits around here.
