    Easter 2004- busiest days?

Hi, we have just booked our first holiday in Orlando staying in a villa. We will be there for 2 weeks including Easter weekend.
Which will be the busiest days?
Is it worth avoiding the theme parks those days? and if so does anyone have other suggestions?
We have booked a 5 park pass, and will have our 10 year old son with us.

I would say the only park to avoid would be Magic Kingdom on the easter monday. As it is easter week, most if not all the parks will open later, there was an earlier thread about disney park hours at http://www.orlando-guide.info/forums...?TOPIC_ID=7118

    Thanks for that.
Are there likely to be any local events such as Easter Parades that it is worth going to?
And what is the weather usually like at Easter? I have several brochures, and they all say different.

We went to Orlando a couple of years ago at Easter (going again this year as well) and the weather was pretty good. We had one coldish day (ie could have done with long trousers and a jumper) but the rest of the time it was warm and dry.

The crowds were acceptable, usual advice; get to the parks really early. We avoided going over the Easter weekend, and the only other thing that caught us out was a later than expected parade and fireworks at Magic kingdom, at least we got a really good viewing place!

    Thanks.
Our villa will have an unheated pool. I'm reluctant to pay alot for heating...any ideas whether it will be warm enough?

    Hi Firsttimer

I always use pool heat whenever I am at my villa regardless of the time of year.In the winter months the water is quite simply too cold but in August when the water is warm it can feel cold compared to the air temperature and your body temperature and helps make the differential less noticeable.

I would say for early April you may well be risking spoiling the holiday by not paying a little extra for pool heating. It may seem expensive but that is because it is very expensive for an owner to run.Early in the morning or returning late from the parks can be one of the best times to swim and isone of the real advantages to renting a villa but you may not be able to as the water will be too cold.If I was you I would go the extra mile and not take the chance.

Exactly the same as in the UK, Friday 09 April & Monday 12 April so the whole weekend is a holiday for all except those in the retail or leisure trades.
