We normally have a 7 seater but wonder if the mid SUV would be big enough. There are the 2 of us and our 3 children but they are now 18, 16 and all but 12. We take 4 suitcases but might come back with another one and usually have a rucksack. Opinions please!
In general there is more luggage space in the Mid Size (and Intermediate) SUV than the 7 seater. The main issue is whether the children would be OK on a single bench seat.
OOH concerned at your comments Roger about there being more luggage space in the intermedaite SUV, we have hired the 7 seater (there are only 5 of us) as we thought there would be a lot more room for luggage with the back row if seats down- is this not the case??
Yes with the back row of seats down there will be more space in the 7 seater SUV.

Phew!! many thanks - fingers crossed we get there with the Ash cloud!!! Or the size or the car won't be mattering!
We had a 7 seater SUV last Oct, there was the wife and I and 3 teens ( 17,17 & 19 ).
With the rear seats down there was loads of luggage space.
With the rear seats up there is virtually no room.
