1 week since we got back and still missing it like crazy! Thought I would put pen to paper so to speak and get cracking on the report.
Weds 27th April.
OLCI completed at 1pm and confirmed our PE seats in the bubble (last 2 on the left just in front of the stairs) excitement was building now.. Dropped the Cat of at her hotel for the next 19 days and picked the kids up from school ready for taxi to the Hilton hotel at Gatwick. Arrived and dropped the bags at twilight check in - job done and easier for the next day.
Thursday 28th
Had booked No1 lounge for the morning for under £50 for 4 of us (2 adults and 2 boys 8 & 4) as you got a free breakfast and free drinks etc. thought it was a no brainer as we usually spend £30 quid on a breakfast at one of the airport restaurants! Upon arriving found that the flight was delayed for 4 hours [msnsad] , negotiated an extended stay and then worried about driving in the dark and how tired we will all be when we got to Orlando. Flight itself was worry free and the experience in PE was great loved the seats we had and the space upstairs in the bubble - was booked upstairs on the way back as well but as you will see later that was to change. Arrived and as we were getting off the plane my 8 year old decided to be sick all over the aircraft [msnembarrased] I think it was the Loveheart sweets they give you when coming in to land - made a mental note not to let him have them on the way back! Got through MCO in the fastest time ever - 30 minutes odd and we were in the car!! Definitely recommend the Alamo fast track option we just walked straight into the garage got a car and drove out to the gate brilliant. Chose to drive south exit on the 417 for the first time so even though I have been twice before as it was a new route for me was a little bit apprehensive - no need to be though as about 40 mins after leaving we were pulling up to our villa at Orange Tree off Highway 27. What a day that was, about 3.30am UK time we were all in need of some sleep….
Start of the holiday proper to come soon.
