All Flights Operating as Scheduled
We continue to monitor the direction of the ash cloud and liaise with UK National Air Traffic Services (NATS), the Civil Aviation Authority and the Met Office however the eruption of Volcano Grimsvotn is not affecting our flying programme and currently all our flights are operating as scheduled.
We understand many passengers who were impacted, or remember the Volcanic Ash' event of April 2010 may be concerned about this new situation. We want to reassure everyone that the safety and security of our passengers and staff is our number one priority. The 'ash' event of 2010 resulted in much of UK and European airspace being completely closed, resulting in mass cancellations of flights across the board. However, since then industry understanding has improved greatly and we are optimistic that the ash cloud will have little or no affect on our schedules over the next few days.
As a precautionary measure we encourage passengers to check Flight Status for the latest information on arrivals and departures and check our website, Facebook and Twitter postings regularly.
