July or August?

Trying to make plans for next years Floria holiday. Which is the busiest in the theme parks 10th to 30th July or first 3 weeks in August?
If I choose the July option not all English schools will have finished for the summer but the American children will be off. Can anybody help, what is your experience of these months? [msnwink]

After August 15th is quietest, so I would choose your latter dates.

Many American schools start up again during the last 2 weeks of August, so I would suggest the 2nd or 3rd week of August also. July is very busy.

I would also say August, if you can push your dates to the last 3 weeks instead of the first it will be even quieter!

We have to go every school holidays as we have children and end of Aug - beginning of Sept is always quieter.

we went last 2 weeks of August last year and although the parks were busy, the queuing time wasn't that long at all. Even the most popular rides no longer than 40 minutes

Would say mid August onwards is the best time to go. The parks are a lot quieter as most the of the US children have gone back to school by this time.

It was not that busy when we went last time and we were there last 2 weeks of August and 1st week of September. It was dead the 1st week September but the first 2 weeks was quiet compared to previous trips which have been May/June.

We have regularly visited during July and August, and the parks are much quieter as August progresses. Another tip is to stay as late as you can before closing, the queues on even the most popular rides diminish and often you can jump straight onto the rides. Also don't forget the single rider tip - if your party can split up you may just miss the queue completely.
