In the flausa brochure I noticed a listing for a duck tour of tampa bay. Its an amphibious vehicle which does a tour of tampa then plunges into the bay for a cruise. They hava a similar thing in London. Has anyone been on this? is it worth doing?

I have never done the duck tour in Tampa, but I have done it in Chicago and also in Boston. Great fun and also very informative. I highly recommend you take it in if you can. My kids especially loved it!
I've seen it in Dublin and it looks great fun ... one for the list next time we are in Florida [msnsmile]

Is this the same company that you saw Poet? It's a shame because the website says that tours have been suspended since April 2003 because of "insurance issues". Perhaps there's another company running the show now.

Hi - we stayed in Tampa 2 years ago - you book at Channelside - I forget the name of the restaurant but you cannot miss it as it's on the main drag. However they only run at certain times and each time we tried to book we were either told there was not enough people or they were not running that day. So we just had a nice meal in the restaurant instead. We were only there for a week so had no time to go back again
