    Disney transportation

can anybody give advice on our plans?
we want to have a day trying to meet as many characers as possible in all 4 parks. we will be getting dropped off at magic kingdom so have no car to get between parks. our tickets allow us to hop, how do we get from park to park? also how do you find out where the characters are to meet them? (not doing character meals)
    thanks

We hop on and off the Disney transportation if going park to park and do not want to move our car. They all go to the different parks. Last night we were at Disney Marketplace and picked up guides for the week which give character greeting times and locations

Not sure how practical this will be but here's a little information to help you decide.

The meet the character areas used to be a real scrum with the pushiest people getting to the front. This has now changed and the character is in a protected section with access only via a controlled queue. The greetings areas are located over the whole parks so you would need to plan your visits very carefully.

Parks like Epcot are large and characters will appear in suitable places. A few weeks ago we saw Jasmine and Aladdin come out from Morocco for about 20 minutes before they went again.

Disney's comment on this is "Locations, times and Characters change often. Check the Times Guide at the theme park for hours when Characters will be at Character Greetings areas".

Seem like you will need to get these guides and do a lot of planning if you want this to succeed.

I would say meeting many characters in 4 parks in 1 day would be near impossible. You would end up rushing from park to park.

It can take over an hour to get from 1 park to another. Waiting for Monorails, Coaches, Boats, Queing at Security Checkpoints etc.

Far better doing some research, (online) then pick which park you want to go to.

You can wait an hour or more just in Epcot [msnsad] Thats just at one location. There are characters all over the parks.

    Good luck

I think it could be a fun but hectic day. I would try for 3 parks but do Animal Kingdom on a different day. Animal Kingdom is a good park for character meets but it is too far off the transportation route to be practical. It also has a shorter day than the other 3 parks. Use the monorail to Epcot and then the boat to Disney studios. It is usually quicker than the bus and more pleasant.

If you decide which characters are the must haves then it is much easier to plan your campaign.

If you choose to go for it there will be no time for rides on that day so you may not wish to waste a park ticket day unless you have a lot of park days.

Fast Passes are now available for Mickey in the Town Square area in MK so you might want to factor that into your plans.
