Alan, I think the problem is his other half rather than the kids. As a teacher she will, I presume, be contracted not to be on holiday in term time. We have found a huge difference in prices this year from 3 years ago. We have used this site for flights in the past. You could try ringing in case there is a problem with their email and keep searching. Good luck

We are in a similar position this year because my daughter is a teacher--as far as villa, car and park tickets are concerned this is probably your best site-you might save coppers elsewhere but the customer service on here is second to none.
Flights are a different kettle of fish-because in my opinion Virgin are exorbitant this year we opted for US Airways via Philadeplhia and saved £250 per head over Virgin.
    Where are you flying from?

We'd be flying from Manchester if possible.

We have flown US Airways MAN-PHL-MCO the last two years, it has been the cheapest by far and the planes are fine - good entertainment systems, on time. It's just the drag of hanging around waiting for the second flight that spoils the journey, but the saving makes it worth it I reckon.

(BTW, Albert the Frog, it is getting quite spooky this, we live within a mile of each other, both foster, and now I find we both have daughters who are teachers! Oh, and we fly US Airways!
Do you think the road repairs on Simonsway will ever finish??!!)

Out of interest, what do people regard as a fair price for school holiday flights? As far as I can see, a family of 4 will be paying up to £3,500 if they want to book now for this summer.

I'm fortunate that I can travel outside those dates but I'm only finding fares of £650+ after the schools go back and to be honest even that's more than I'm prepared to pay.

In previous years, we have brought our best friends & 2 kids, Jans brother, his wife & 2 kids to Orlando in late April into May. We never travel in school holidays but next year are thinking of bringing the lot of them. As there will be a 13&15 year old in the group, we have said we will travel in school holidays with them.[msncry][msncry]

Flight prices are going to be more than we are used to as we generally use Virgin Miles plus Money. I have been pushing them down the MAN-ATL-MCO route as a cost saving excercise.
    Regards, Mark

    Katys Grandad,

That is a very interesting question, and I think we all have our line in the sand. As I currently have to pay for 5 adults mine is £700 per person peak time. So far we have been lucky and been able to find flights for less albeit indirect.

We are really looking forward to 2 years time when our youngest will be at Uni, and Lynne and I can take advantage of the real cheappies when they come up.

My August guests who have recently booked were quoted £1300 per person with Virgin!!!!

So anything around £700 is a veritable bargain! [msnwink]

We looked at Virgin months ago and even then they were £1000-we went with US via Philly for £732 peak August
