Extra Young drivers with our YDP package

Our Young Driver's Package with Alamo now allows up to 3 young drivers (age 21-24). Previously the package only allowed 1 young driver with the rest having to be age 25 or over.

This represents a massive saving. Without the YDP, each driver under age 25 has to pay $25+tax per day, on collection of the car.

That is brilliant news, Roger. We have used the Young Person's package and it was excellent, but being able to have more than one under 25 driving will make a big difference.

    Hi Guys

Our daughter is just 20 and has been driving for 2 years on a full licence (Ireland)
Can she be a name driver on a rental in Orlando or has she to be over 21???

Yes, I'm afraid it's strictly age 21 or over.

Is the young driver's option "silver" or "gold" as regards the fuel? I can't find any reference to this aspect in the details

The YDP is always the Gold package, so you get the tank of fuel.

Is there a limitation on the type of car available through the YDP?
For example could a 21 year old driver drive a 7 seater Fullsize SUV?

I know this is a very late reply to your question, but the answer, from experience, is there doesn't appear to be a restriction on the car type. We have hired a suburban on two occasions with my 21 year old son as a driver.

Do Young drivers still need to produce a credit card on collection of the vehicle as several companies now seem to accept debit cards?
