To plan a park strategy or not? This doesn't suit everybody but we made a decision a while back to have a plan of attack. It's not possible to do everything in two weeks so decided to do the must do's early in the day, anything after that was going to be a bonus. Being at a park for rope drop, how important? critical, you can get a huge amount done in the first couple of hours before the crowds build up with little or no waiting in line, we are naturally early risers so this wasn't a big deal for us, learn how the Disney Fastpass system works and use it to the max and check out and compare busy park day guides and use them, this worked well for us.
Disney's Hollywood Studios - On entering we split up, Denise and Keelin headed straight for Toy Story and got in the que, this attraction gets very busy really quick and fastpasses often run out by noon, Ewan and I headed to Tower of Terror and Rock'n'Roller Coaster and picked up a couple of fastpasses for both, joined the others at Toy Story, about a 30min wait to ride but it is good fun, we also did Indiana Jones (boys) Beauty & the Beast (girls), Muppet Vision 3D, Great Movie ride,Voyage of the Little Mermaid, Lunch, rambled around taking in the atmosphere and then used our fastpasses for TOT and Rock'n'Roller (really long lines), a really enjoyable day, not to hectic, headed back to the villa around 3 or 4pm for a dip in the pool before dinner. Note - Be aware first timers, on your first day or two you will be up at Stupid O' Clock due to the time difference, if this park opened at 5am I reckon we could have made it[msneek] Dinner time now[msnsmile]
Day two was Animal Kingdom, to be honest this was a park I wasn't that pushed about, wrong!!!, this is a really enjoyable day. Expedition Everest first thing and got fastpasses for later too, Dinosaur fun also, we also done It's tough to be a Bug, Kali River Rapids, Killimanjaro Safari (great views of the animals) and the Festival of the Lion King is a must, great show and gets you out of the heat of the afternoon, facepainting for Keelin, lots of bits'n'bobs to do, a really nice day here, again not too hectic, really pleasent, arrived early leave again around 4pm to relax around the pool, trying hard to pace ourselves, so far so good[msnsmile2]
Day three (Sunday) was pencilled in as a rest / shopping day, sorry ladies but I just don't get the whole shopping thing but happy to tag along and carry the bags, an easy drive to Orlando Premium Outlets, Denise must have thought I was some kind of Donkey the way she was piling the bags upon me, I'm reliably informed that there are lots of bargains to be got there and she did get them!!! Nike and Sketchers were popular among others, How many shoes do people need!!!!! Overall, if you have to go shopping, this is as pleasant as it gets, it's open air, nice to walk around, grabbing a coffee or ice cream here and there makes it all very civilised...but I can feel a swim coming on but Denise has disappeared, leaving me with the kids & bags mmm....45mins later she returns with more bags, time to go, we cannot physically carry anymore!!
Islands of Adventure in the morning, happy days
