No you "don't" have to pre book your meals. Its always advisable to book restaurants at busy times to avoid possible long waits, but you do that at home if you go out.

They do various DDPlans. We think the best value (if used to your advantage, not Disneys[msnwink]). Is the normal one.

You get 1 snack, 1 Counter service meal & 1 Sit down meal, per person per day. Unless you have a huge appetite you might not be able to eat them all[msnwink]

The great thing with the sit down meal is you can use 2 and go to Disneys fine dining restaurants. So if you have a counter service meal & don't feel like a sit down meal, you can save that & use it at a "better" restaurant.

We go to Yatchsmans/California Grilletc doing that. Its great when you total up the meal & would have paid $250/$300 but you get it on the plan.

Also you don't have to use it in any order. If you have 7 snacks, 7 counter & 7 sit down. You can use 7 snacks on 1 day, 1 counter & no sit down if you so wish. Very flexible.

When you go to till, you get a reciept stating what you have used & what you have remaining. So know exactly where you stand.

It might sound complicated, but when you get into the swing of it its really very simple to follow. If your not sure what you get with each "point" check with a cast member before placing your order.

We have eaten in a number of places which we might never have eaten in but for this system[msnsmile2]

We dont think the plan with alcohol included is great value, but then again were not big drinkers. Also we wouldn't use the cheaper snack plan. You can't live off snacks.

Just remember, you must use all points by your last day or you lose them, but as you check in later in the evening, you can still use any remaining on the day/night of your check out[clap][clap]
