    one way hire

    Hey Roger
Still the same 6 adults looking for suitable car hire ( please have a look at my other post ) and wasn't aware that I could also rent from USCar Hire in California. I had anticipated that I would hire a Suburban with Hertz again or maybe Avis who have a Yukon which would probably fit us all in with luggage. (?) . We will be getting the car from LAX and dropping off at Phoenix ( Skyharbour Airport )after a visit to Las Vegas and the Grand Canyon. For the hire from LAX California I see on the USCar Hire website that it says -- Locations within this region with no 1-way charges - are
    (Same As Pickup Location)
Arizona - Phoenix Apt - In Terminal

When I try and book with the drop-off Arizona - Phoenix Apt - nothing comes up for that. Is this possible ?? Our itinerary is set so the oneway is a must for us . We then fly from Phoenix , get on a cruise and then have the week carhire in Orlando , so its 2x 8 day hires of a vehicle that suits our needs and itinerary if that makes any sense.
    Thanks for any advice.

Yes, you can do that. Make sure you select California as the region. Then select your collection location in California.

In the drop-off box, select 'more locations' then you will see the rest of them appear, including Phoenix.

I confirm there is no 1-way fee for this if you choose Alamo or Dollar.

    Hi Roger
Thanks for the reply , however I cannot get Phoenix to appear when I nchoose other locations . I get the 2 LA locations , @ Florida and the Las Vegas depot - no Phoenix as an option. Am I doing something wrong ?
    Thanks again[?]

Which car type are you selecting? If Premier (Cadillac or Escalade) then these are only available for collection / drop at at a few locations.

    Hey Roger
Yes , I tried the 8 seater and that went through being able to pick up Lax dropoff at Phoenix. I had wanted the Suburban but that must not be able to be dropped off in Phoenix ? . Can you tell me what 8 seater Alamo use and do you think it will take 6 adults & 6 medium sized suitcases ?
    Thanks again

Yes, that's why you could not choose Phoenix with the Prestige.

Alamo use the Toyota Sienna. It's a nice comfortable car and has quite a lot of luggage space. Check out the video we have on our site as it shows the Sienna with luggage being loaded in.
