    SUNRISE AND SUNSET FOR U.S.

We're off to Florida on Sunday. We're due to land at 16.30 and I was wondering how dark it would be when we should be travelling to the villa.

Found this site which other winter travellors may find useful.

I'm not sure if you already know this or not but the US clocks go forward on March 13th ( I'm guessing you will still be there then) so the evenings should be lighter for some of your trip. We've got to wait till 27th for ours to go forward.

always an added pressure to make sure the clocks are right when you get up, I'd prefer to think of it as an hour extra in Orlando at the the end of the day

Dusk is around 6:30pm at present (don't actually take that much notice when you are actually here). Once it starts to go dark here it goes dark very quickly compared to the UK. Off the top of my head I'd say it's pretty dark by around 6:45.

Thanks for info, hopefully we'll be at villa before 6.30. Although weather forcast is not looking good for Sunday, scattered thunderstorms.

We're frequent visitors but sometimes we've found we've been unable to get on South Access Road when we leave the car hire area as other drivers don't know where they are going. We prefer to go in late April when evenings are lighter but Easter dates meant we're having to go earlier this year.

We're flying back 26 March so have an extra hour I think on our last day not that we will do anything with it as we're just marking time until we leave for the airport.

Chris will be pleased that the evenings will be lighter, he's already moaning about the price of the golf as we're going in Snow Bird time. You just can't please some people. [msnwink]

If you miss the South Exit road then just carry on and it takes you on a complete loop around the airport (go past the North exit) and you come back to the South Exit. Takes around 5 minutes but probably quicker than going out North and on the 528 (depending on where you are staying of course).

Thanks I'll write that down, I avoid the 528 now as the South Access is normally quieter. When you've been travelling for 11 hours last thing you want is loads of traffic on 528 and I4.
