308 Days!!! Just booked for Easter-phew usual mad search for flights!!
Don't know about direct flights as we never consider them-way too much. We've paid £635 indirect from Manchester (we only live 40 mins drive from Airport) via Chicago into MCO, have done this route before and it's OK. We dithered about and missed some good flights for £600 via Altanta-better times but after one day they shot up to over £700. We're tied to school holidays so we don't want to risk not getting flights at a reasonable price so are happy with the price we have paid.-Can sit back & relax now!!
Considering where fares are generally, that's less than I would have expected for a school holiday period (I assume that's with American).
My benchmarks these days are that outside school holidays anything under £500 is acceptable and under £450 is a bargain. I just wouldn't pay over £600 for an Economy transatlantic although I realise that others don't have my flexibility on dates.
Cheers Rob.
We're in same situation as you regarding school hols, and we're even closer to MAN than you (or possibly anyone on the Forum except Albert The Frog) being at the end of Runway 23R.
I think you've done OK at £635. Ten months ago I was shopping for flights for tomorrow, and all the indirect flights, irrespective of route, came up between £665 and £685. This fits in exactly with Stockport's school hols. In the end Mrs Dad's Taxi convinced me to try Monarch direct, for which tomorrow is costing £720 each x 11 seats ! We decided the extra 55 quid each was worth the saved time. After the flight I'll report back on how Monarch compare.
Anyway, we're straying off the countdown topic! Sorry folks. One more countdown posting for me, later today.

Dave.
Hi Dave
have a great time, we put in a new front door on Tuesday so will be interested in how it looks.
Hope the weather is as good for you as we had it, breakfast by the pool at 6 am.
Wish we were there!
