Publix near Emerald Island

Can anyone advise if there' a Publix near EI please?

Yes, there are two on the 192W one approx 5 mins from EI and the other approx 8 mins.

THere is one in the Orange LAke complex -for you, it would be turn right out of the estate, and then left towards Formosa. At the lights at 192, turn right, an its about 1 mile up on right. on the opposite side of road there is a super target.
Within Formosa Gardens there is a Winn Dixie also

Had a look at Publix store locator(see below)- would this be the nearest then? Whats Winn Dixie like- not been to one before. Just looking for nearest place to get our first night provisions when we arrive. Anyone know where closest Walmart is too- I am not a fan- mostly because they take so long to get around but would rather go to the closest place when we arrive.

If you're just after essentials, the very, very closest biggish 'supermarkety' type shop is in Formosa Gardens Village, 2nd right just off the 192 on Formosa Gardens Blvd. Called "Marketplace" - carries a pretty fair range of everything & the prices aren't bad either... Decor is a bit wierd, Chinese themed as it was next to "Splendid China" which was a Chinese theme park which closed after Tianaman Square (spelling ??) - You'll pass the remanants on the way to Emerald Island !!
Closest Publix is next to Orange Lake Country Club.
Nearest Wal-Mart is West on the 192, North on the 27, Right-hand side about 500yds. (about 3 miles in all)
Nearest Super Target, West 192 about 1 mile on left.
S.T. & W.M. about same size with similar ranges of merchandise.

THe nearest is Winn Dixie, you pass it in Formosa on your way in- it does say Marketplace on the outside.
It is fine for everything, but may be slightly more expensive than Publix. The nearest Walmart will probably be Cagans crossing, turn left on 192, to the end, and right onto the 27 and its on the right. further than Publix. Winn Dixie is very close to you.

Winn Dixie it is then for milk and beer on our first night!! Oh and cereal for Lucy for brekkie!!
