We've been a couple of times to the Canadian side, and used US$ each time - don't think it'll be a problem. Hope you have a great time - make sure you go on the boat trip under the falls- worth getting wet!

I have stayed on both sides of Niagara Falls and used USD on the Canadian side with no problem.
Enjoy the experience. [msnsmile2]
May I ask how long the drive is to Niagara from Manhattan?
I am just toying with the idea of taking my son for a few days in NY over his school Easter break. Would be interested in all info![]()
Just remember if you pay for something in US dollars any change will be given to you in Canadian dollars![]()
It took us 7 hours from Manhatten partly due to the weather turning nasty but was worth the trip once there.
US dollars are fine.
Make sure you do the Cave of the Winds on the USA side.
We flew Jet Blue from JFK, took around 50 minutes to Buffalo.
