I agree with everything you have said, Gary. But might I add that if you are worried about driving (and some people are!) then don't be. I used to be terrified of driving in the USA but once I HAD to do it I truly loved it....mind you, I still go to jelly if my husband is sitting next to me, but that has nothing to do with driving on the wrong side of the road (know the feeling, eh, girls?[msnwink]).[/quote]Not quite sure how to interpret that remark Ellie![msnwink][/quote]Liz, like so many men, my husband hates me to drive him ....especially when my children tell him how much better I am than him! Oh, and he watches to see if I am using my mirrors! [msneek]
Well, for goodness sake, what woman DOESN'T use her mirrors - what if my lippy was smudged?[msnwink]

We used the shuttle services when we first went about 20 years ago and whilst it was fine most of the time it was leaving in the evening that was a pain. The last shuttle back was before fireworks (this of course may have changed) so we had a cab and that was $20 then. From MK to 192, just opposite Old Town. Boy, did it look different back then. Our hotel, Old Town and a Mc D's just along a bit with waste ground in between!

Ahhhh! Now I understand, I thought that just being with your hubby turned you to jelly, even after all these years.......I was a bit jealous actually[msnwink]
My hubby is always critical of my driving, unless he wants to have a drink and then surprise, surprise I am the most competant driver out there!![msnwink]![]()

I remember it well! Our first morning we walked from the Travelodge just opposite Old Town ( now The Hilton)to Denny's. All along the grass verge, we got some strange looks! That was the one and only time we walked any where!![]()

We were at Best Western Eastgate. We walked along the wasteland to Mc D's as someone was leaving the hotel in a taxi - to Mc D's! We arrived there at the same time because they had to drive down, turn and come back up.
are hotels charging to park now if so renting a villa is even more appealing private drive and all that as people have said hiring a car gives more options of what and when to do things visiting the coast is a must.
