We have just returned and are looking at returning for this summer of summer 2012, who else is going this summer and what type of deals did you find or currently looking for.

If so and you're looking at school summer holidays we found it silly money but we got miles and money flight with Virgin into Miami was a much cheaper option. Although the drive up will not be the best the flight home is not until the evening so we can have a day in Miami which will be good. We found when we were looking that indirect was no cheaper. We were looking when the flights were released as with 5 of us in the summer holidays we wanted to make sure we got them at a price we could afford. Hope you find something.

Summer prices seem to be particularly high so if your budget is very constrained I would say definitely wait till next year and save a bit more for the trip. This summer they seem to be around the £700/£800 per adult. If you are able to go outside the school hols, even by a few days it can make a big difference. For example we are going mid June for £460ish direct with Virgin.

If you can go at short notice and are planning on 14 days then sometimes closer to the date the Charter companies will sell off the remining seats at lowers pirces but if youu have a lrge party then getting the right number of seats can be difficult.

We are a family of 6, just find the summer prices high as we also want to go on our yearly xmas hols also. So will leave the summer to late and if I can snap a good deal will take it.

We did last time coming back on 12th September and it made such a huge difference to the price (and the parks were really quiet once british schools had gone back too) and I completely agree with you regarding what they gain from it. However our children this year will be at college (no tome allowed) starting 6th form and starting secondary school so decided not a good time to miss the beginning of term [msnsad]
