Sand Sculpture event Ft Myers - Nov 10th - 14th

If anyone is looking for something a little different if they are in Florida in mid November.

There is a sand sculpting event between Ft Myers and Naples, between the gullwing beach resort and holiday inn. Public viewing is free.

As it's popular, they do run a free park 'n ride from

We went to this last year and yes, it is well worth visiting, the sculptures are amazing.

However what is also amazing is the TRAFFIC, it is truly horrendous.

Fort Myers beach is some 20+ miles from the sprawling city of Fort Myers and it is bumper-to-bumper stop/start traffic to get across a bridge. I would certainly recommend that anyone going take the Trolley, Lovers Key State Park is south of Fort Myers Beach and a lovely spot.
