I just became a Dollar Express member and called them to add this information to my 2 bookings...well come to find out they "No longer" accept this with prepaid vouchers!!
I became a member because I wanted to avoid having to wait in the lines etc.
This really annoys me!!! I hear/read often from people coming from overseas using Dollar express (very recently too) so how can this be????
This has always been the case, and if you ask Dollar they will always tell you it is not available on pre-paid voucher bookings. In practice Dollar do tend to accept Express members on arrival with a pre-paid voucher.
If you booked via us then you do not need to ask Dollar to add your Express ID, you just email us with your order number and Express ID and we'll add it for you.
Roger...I find that odd because I have read and know other members from Europe who had prepaid vouchers and had no problems with Dollar adding this info. The lady I spoke with said it was "new" information and because the prepaid options are $100's cheaper that going thru Dollar's US site. Hmmmf!
I booked thru Dollar's UK website as I did not know about this site until some days ago but I must say..how is it that you can add the info and Dollar can't/won't ?!?!?
We have been Dollar Express members for over 5 years now and always used pre-booked car hire vouchers!! and never been refused the use of the express line.
Just come back from Orlando 2 weeks ago with no problem.

It's just one of Dollar's policies if they do not allow you to add your Express ID to one of their own vouchers.
We have many UK and other European customers and regularly add their Express IDs without issue.

We quote our dollar express number when booking through US Car hire and present our card on arrival......never had any problems[msnsmile]

i did exactly that a few weeks ago (about 3 )and used Dollar Express on Thursday last week. You could try phoning them again and see if you get a different agent. Dollar Express is supposed to be available to all their clients who choose to use it and if you book online by default you will be taken to the UK site so they can't really justify discriminating.

Well if that is their policey...it stinks! [xx(] So because I PREPAY THEM way in advance (I might add) they penalize me? How nice.
And as far as going thru this site...I would have but as I said...I'm quite NEW to this site plus it won't help me when I go elsewhere in the US...

Why not? We do car hire all over the USA and Canada. Some of the non-Florida regions are the busiest of the lot [msnsmile].
